Hurricane Ike Aftermath in Google Earth

NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) has released a Google Earth KML layer showing damage along the Texas coast. You can download the layer from the Google Lat Long Blog. To see some of the most dramatic destruction, load the layer into GE and locate the Gilchrist, TX area. Use the checkbox next to "Hurricane Ike 2008" in the Places sidebar to toggle the layer on and off. In some places whole neighborhoods are gone. Heartbreaking.
